Ben Folds did over half the tracks! And rewrote "Rockin' the Suburbs" for the movie... Including a monologue for William Shatner!

It's great.

So MI:3 was a lot better than MI:2?

If so, I MIGHT see it since 2 sorely dissapointed me.

there's no way MI 3 can be longer than The Return of the King, extended...4 hours!

He likes it. I like what I've heard of it.

What don't you like about it?

It seems like a step back from Lateralus. In my opinion, Lateralus was damn near a masterpiece, and it seemed that they had progressed as far as they could in that direction. So they could have gone in two directions - make a sharp turn and do something completely different (which I was hoping for), or revert back to Undertow and AEnima territory. It seems that they did the latter, and the results just aren't as impressive to me. They just sound a little tired. Danny Carey is an amazing drummer that I've always idolized, but beyond that, I don't think it's Tool at their best.

But I'm apparently a bitter music critic, and it seems that I am alone in the opinion that 10,000 Days is a subpar album. I have friends who seem to think that the band is beyond reproach, and how dare I criticize them! I'm just calling it as I see hear it.
