I never realized how hilarious the phrase "I threw out my soapbox" would be if it just seemed like a phrase from left field, without the context. That whole sequence is funny. I'm giggling so much that I'm almost crying. Not at you, Lance, but because I'm imagining someone taking it literally, that Kelly's soapbox would be big enough to hold a larp. They would just be thinking, why is your natural reaction to questioning a larp to build a box? And why would you throw it out later? I don't get it.
