I feel completely worthless right now. I've been searching for an apartment for over a month and still don't have one. I've been denied over and over again. And i'm at that point where i'm willing to get that really small shitty apartment as long as it's a place for me to sit/lay/breathe in. I feel like i'm trapped in a tiny room in the middle

You deserve to have a good apartment this time, so don't sign a shitty lease.

If you don't have a place by June, talk to the landmen about staying for just a bit. Remind them they have to fix the wall and it would be bad for them to do that as brand new tenants are moving in.

If you do sign a new lease, but it's a shitty one, remember the option of sub-leasing. Contracts aren't entirely binding these days. I mean, look at marriage.

Also, we have the livingroom back so you don't have to be trapped in your room.
