My LJ has lain fallow for some time now, though certainly not for lack of things to write about. I've formed a nasty habit of starting but not finishing entries lately, for one reason or another. Perhaps this will break the mold

I know about the misery of trying to decide between two schools. I decided to go to Stanford at the VERY last minute. I've never really regretted it, though.
I don't think you ever told me that story, where else where you thinking of going? It was literally last-minute for me as well, thanks to the wonders of online "Intent to enroll" forms.
Grinnell College, in Iowa, was the other top contender. Stanford was actually really anomalous amongst my choices; everything else was a tiny mid-Western liberal arts school. I thought Stanford would be too big, I thought I should spend a little time away from California... but then I thought, "What if I change my mind and don't want to be a Classics major after all? What if I decide I like CS or something?"
Besides, student theater at Stanford was *waaaaaaay* better.
