Well, it sounds like one of those vaguely disturbing pieces, a la "Fight Club", not that there's anything wrong with that. I'll check it out when I get the chance.

well, i suppose it's perfectly fine and normal to have some people that completely rub you the wrong way, but harboring resentment is probably harmful to your own well-being.

That's the thing, I hear things like this so often? Does hating people give you cancer or something?

I suppose I can see a case for it contributing to a pessimistic state of mind, and then link to a million or so studies involving heart disease and state of mind.

I feel like harboring resentment is at least as bad as its counterpart, enjoying someone's company/being in a relationship, is good. There may not be a hell of a lot of health correlation in the long run, but ultimately, your own head is where you're forced to maintain residence, so having it full of pissed-off thoughts isn't very pleasant. If you're forced to encounter these people on a constant basis, then it's hard to keep their presence from wearing down on you, but I'd advise you not to think overmuch about people whose presence you can largely avoid.

After high school there's perhaps one person that falls into this active dislike category for me, but even that evaporates when I'm not living in close proximity to them. So my best advice, I guess, would be to get into that frame of mind?

Anywho, if you've got a car and could pay a visit, I'm hella bored sitting around in bed! Also, if you have a cross-platform game we can LAN play- maybe Diablo 2? I dunno.
