Daphne, this is a beautiful and moving post. I, too, have felt there's a change in the air- and living so close to DC, which is at its heart a liberal town invaded by The Enemy these days, it's so refreshing. I've been getting more and more involved with the efforts to raise global warming awareness- not to add to your list of concerns, but another of these types of HELLO, PEOPLE issues that it's hard to believe folks are ignoring. Your stitches speak volumes.

i don't get to watch NOW much - actually, i don't watch anything on TV much, so it is nothing against NOW. I am worried that if i watch the abortion rights episode I will get even more discouraged about the way things are going, but I suppose that is part of the point. I just feel so helpless in our current society and that reason and empathy have gone the way of the dinosaur (buried underground for potential exploitation in a few years time).

A great post, and I applaud your efforts to make a difference.

What a wonderful and inspiring post! That project looks really interesting and thoughtful way to remember Americans who have lost their lives in this war.
