I think I'm old enough now. I'm certainly having one of the crankiest birthdays of my life so far and am ready to stop having them. Let's hope that no one asks anything of me tonight because the truth is that I'm mean, grouchy and selfish. And now I'm old, so what do you expect ( Read more... )

I tried to explain to 22 yr. old gennawithag the other day that I was tired because I'm OLD. She was all like, maybe you need some iron. No, honey, I'm 34. OLD.

I turned 40 last November and I decided I'm going to just HOLD there.

Actually I was considering going backwards for a few birthdays!

I had sort of decided not to buy Bend the Rules for the single reason that I've completely run out of room on my craft bookshelves. However, reading you waxing poetic about it is making me change my mind (but guess that means something's going to have to go). Part of my sewing problem is that I don't think I really know the rules to begin with. I too "learned" sew in 7th grade (I made a pillow shaped like a cat), and also from my mom, but I feel like there are so many pieces I'm missing. But I don't feel like taking classes, because most of the pieces I already know.
