1. So I went to a blog meetup and it was fun. Quel surprise! I hear you saying. But it was good, and this particular meetup had an added bonus: we all swapped handmade stuff, see?

I ♥ your neighborhood quilting store too! All day long I've been sitting thinking about my new VW bus fabric and smiling. I want to go back and get more for some PJ bottoms.

Ooh, that fabric is the perfect weight for pajamas. Soft and light and you're not likely to totally destroy it the first time out. Hmmm, now we're partway to a plan -- well, I'm partway. I don't know how much yardage I'd need. You are probably further along this path of pocketbook danger/sewing delight.

Bitter Betty here..

Ha, You are so lucky to get to do that swap with the talented crew you swapped with!! I also have many cuts of fabric that are too small to do everything with but to yummy to let go. Patch work is in my future... or a series of well dressed fantasy children. I can't decide which.

Thanks for your kind words.. and I am your minion for life!

(sometimes when it's happening, I narrate a potential blog post, but when it comes time to post, I honestly don't want to relive the agony of the stitches I've ripped)

Change out "stitches" for "life experiences" and you have described my feelings on blogging perfectly. I am constantly writing blog posts in my head, but then I can never seem to muster the energy to type them in when I get the time. Sometimes I think it's because I am too much of a perfectionist and I know that I will always be re-writing the post as I go and I know that I don't really have the time for that. But then part of me knows that I don't post as often as I think about it out of sheer laziness.

Yes and yes. I do the same with experiences as well. I'm not as much of a perfectionist, which helps enormously. But I also spend a lot more time surfing around and often feeling bored instead of being motivated to create a new post. Right now I just really need to get up and wash dishes but the computer screen glow has pulled me in...

Oh and one more note... I've narrated my life in my head since I was little. You too? I'm pretty sure it's a reader/writer thing.

Lucky You! Great swap and you got to go to that new shop! I tried to go but they're closed on Mondays. And tiny scraps? Whipup's May challenge is a mini-quilt...still a couple of days left!

Hi! So that was your comment on the other post.

I'm so tempted to do a mini quilt, like, tonight. But I know it will take 1,000,000x the amount of time I think it would--I'm terrible like that.

You're funny. Sometime I've got to go up there and meet all you cool Seattle chicks. Maybe the Bitter One will join me.
