We had a good weekend in Portland for my sister's first baby shower. Sadly, I'll miss the second, but I did manage somehow to do the games/prizes just about right for this one. Baby-shower-throwers, let me give you one piece of advice: Guys are way too good at the "string game," where you cut a length of string, yarn or (in some versions) toilet

can I just gloat here for a second to say that I rock at the string game? The most recent time I was under an inch from actual size. Yay me! (I didn't have any guys to compete with though.)

Love the clever wrapping job and the furry flowers! And I like the boring sock, too. I'm always drawn to those colors (can we call them colors?), but my friends tell me I don't need any more beige clothing. One of these times you come down to PDX we ought to meet up!
