The cold came back

So I was up early--after a dream that ended with me biting off a guy's thumb--he was stealing the comics I'd labored over, but I wasn't really me, and no one else in the dream was anyone I knew, and this was after a better dream (but still difficult) about riding a bike that I continually got off, took apart, and had to reassemble to ride the next ( Read more... )

Are both jarring and amazing. I love hearing about other people's crazy dreams, it makes me feel less crazy (not that you are crazy--you just make me feel normal-ish).

both are very graphic and powerful. I must say I like the second better, but the first one made me laugh and then grimice. I've been in that relationship (no longer thank goodness.)

I remember having a love affair with that first poem, which is in my Norton's Anthology of literature by women.

I don't know if I have that Norton's. I like me some Norton's--though not so much the title.

It's just such a good little poem to hold in your head for when you need it, you know?
