Snowy end to a loooong weekend.

It was a very good Thanksgiving. Today, though, my back hurts like crazy--I'm pretty sure thanks to the elliptical trainer at the gym. It was supposed to reduce stress, but sometimes it backfires. Anyway... I spent a lot of the weekend reading, knitting, watching TV--very strenuous. Here's one of the products of the knitting:

Sadly, I came to my senses regarding how much free time I have and how many knitting and freelance projects I've taken on recently, so I have to postpone knitting the second one. As usual, though, I'm not waiting to wear it. It's cold out! When we were little, it was always a possibility that it would snow on Thanksgiving weekend in Spokane. I remember one year it started as we ate, and playing in the back of the van as Dad drove us home on the slippery roads. But here it is, snowing like crazy in Seattle tonight.

I was brave and picked up some snow from one of the bushes outside my front door -- then I ate it. I'm not a big fan of snow or cold weather, but I can appreciate the joy and beauty of the occasional snowstorm. Hey, it's not coming in under the door like the rain did last night. That's an improvement of sorts.

Seth was charged with making "delicious healthy dinner that we don't have to go outside to get." Well, two out of three is pretty awesome, if you get to have yam fries!
