Monday report: Not much to report.

Stitch & Pitch is tomorrow night and not only do I get to attend, but I get to take the afternoon off this here day job to go help set up. I hope the weather continues to cool a bit. This weekend we Seattlites were pretty pathetic, going to movies for the A/C and just sitting as still as possible in hot houses ( Read more... )

Presents!!! I love presents! What is it? No, don't tell me. (But what did I do to deserve something?? Or is it not a present, and I find out I left a sock or something at your house?)

London? Le Tour is starting in London? That is so many ways wrong. Soon, they'll be calling it "The Tour of France."

bah! deserving is not an issue. besides, it's a tiny present from Portland, Jr. which is hilarious, btw.

Le Tour often starts in Belgium or Germany or whereever the officials feel like starting it, but that's on the continent!!! The CHANNEL I say, the channel is a big issue.

The channel does provide a bit of a challenge. Maybe they'll take the train out of the chunnel and have them ride their bikes through?

eek, I can't wait for Stitch n Pitch here in LA! Let me know how the Mariners game is, I'd love to hear about it (and see pics, if you take any :).

It's SO hot here too. I'm completely over it.

it was fun last year, so I'm guessing it'll be fun again. :)

yes, I heard about the excessive heat there, too. I know it's actually hotter in other places but there's even less A/C here than in PDX (of course it's hotter in PDX). we're massively wimpy up here. What's interesting to me about the heat is if I spend all day in the air conditioned office, I don't mind riding my bike home in 90-degree weather at all. but try to get me to do that when I'm sitting at home sweating on the sofa? no way!

PS in case my comment is unclear, I know you're in LA, not PDX, right now. ;)

what time are you going to stitch n pitch? I figure it's senseless to go home after work and then back to sodo, but I don't want to sit there by myself for 2 hours. (I would, however, also like to miss the bulk of the setting up. I'd feel guilty just standing around watching.)

I will be down there at 3:30. very early. So whenever you can get in with your ticket, I'll be there, and we should be fairly well set-up by then. SHOULD being the operative word, but it's me, Betsy, Jen and Brent, so basically there's no obsessive detail we won't have at least thought of by the time you get there.
