It's a song by Dar Williams--if you'd like, definitely give her a listen! This song, called 'The Christians and the Pagans' is one of my favourites, especially for the holiday season. She has some wonderful songs.

Thank you for pointing to that! I wish I could have attended, it sounds fascinating! Unfortunately it's a little difficult to get into Boston. I should start looking to see if universities in Providence - like Brown - have any public lectures I'd like to attend. Especially since I'll be moving to Providence in the near-ish future.
I'm sorry you're no longer in an area with public talks! I didn't take advantage of them when I was at university. I only went to a few in my final year and that was it. I comforted myself by knowing that many of the talks were given by lecturers I was seeing and learning from on a weekly basis, though. (:
Alright, it's all done and I had to use the quill anyway when the pen ran out (wouldn't it just, though?) so it's a right mess of not-at-desk quillery there at the end, but the real trick will be getting it up here. I'll play around with it.
