SPAIN!

Mar 08, 2011 14:15

So, I went to Spain with my little sister, G, to visit our littlest sister... Little G (It would be less confusing if their names didn't start with the same letter, but what are you going to do). Now, it is time for me to flood you all with a zillion photographs and a few stories.

Don't forget that on the flight back to Madrid we were on such a TINY plane that you couldn't have carry on bags bigger than a purse. First we had to take a bus from the gate to our plane, then they took my bag and put it under the plane!

I like how you tried to hide your carry on and the dude was like *POINT* Give it up.

I kept picturing the little hatch just flinging open mid-flight and your suitcase plummeting into the olive tree fields.

OR how I was 99% sure our ONE checked back would not make it to Chicago. "Did you say you had a bag??"

*Walk five steps over to a second counter*

"Do you have any checked luggage?"

OMGYES.

I was going to complain that you didn't say anything about coming to Spain (or I didn't see, which would have been my bad), but I see you only went to Madrid to pick the plain back and forth... so, I forgive you :P

The pics are simply amazing!!! I was in Granada when I was a baby so I don't recall too much, apart from what I've seen in the pics from that trip. I should go to visit it again and also visit Cordoba. I'm glad you had fun!!! ^^

Ah ha! Yeah, I think I only mentioned it in passing in an entry.

I had no idea you lived in Spain! Do you like Madrid? My little sister is actually going up there at some point to interview for an internship.

I was born and grew up in Madrid, so yeah, I pretty much like it like a lot!!! It's a great place to live. I adore it! ;) lol! what can I say! lol!

Now I don't live in the city center and from the summer I'll be moving to the UK... Hope your sister gets the intership! ;)

Awesome pics! Spain sounds like a wonderful place to visit. *adds to list*

I'm used to stuff being pretty darn new, but in Spain you drive around the countryside and little towns will have these random fortresses up on hills just chilling, being fortresses.
Word. This feeling is one of the things I loved most about living in New Mexico.

Seriously. The oldest stuff I have around me are barns that are falling down.

It was all very, very pretty.

I almost couldn't believe that we had to sprint across TWO giant airports. At least we got awesome seats for the 9 hour flight. That pretty much makes up for it.

I only wish we could have eaten more stuff. A lot of the time we were pretty bone tired from walking/traveling all day. Plus, to cut down on cost we grabbed food at convenience stores once or twice.

Eventually I'll get the rest of the photos (the ones that have G&G in them) up on Facebook. I'm still cropping/editing/cleaning up some of them.
