Aw, I actually liked Cyrano Agency? I thought it was super hilarious in the first half, with all the over-the-top fake romantic scenarios and the lengths they would go to to make them happen, and then pretty realistic and sad in the second half, at least between Lee Min-jung and Uhm Tae-woong. I never thought they would get back together because I think there are certain types of Korean rom-coms that love being bittersweet and tragic like that (hence the dawn/dusk look?), and my suspicion was confirmed during the scene where Daniel Choi says it'd be too obvious if Cyrano got Roxanne and UTW says, "Yeah, it would be too obvious, wouldn't it?" I was like, FATE SEALED, you are never getting her back. But I totes agree, they were following some kind of Kdrama time-logic with her agreeing to marry Daniel Choi after something like two dates

Yeah, I don't know what my issue was but the humor just never clicked with me. I can't even explain why. But yeah, once they started talking about Cyrano I figured it was pretty doomed.
IT WAS PRETTY! It just wasn't the movie I was expecting? Like I was looking for something much brighter, so when it started I was all "what's this dreariness?" I don't know, I'm being a stick in the mud.
I think Park Shin-hye might have been won of my favorites parts, actually. I was dubious about her because I'd only ever seen her in You're Beautiful, but she was pretty great here.
I wouldn't call it horrible, there was an anaconda so that was cool. But a majority of the characters grated on me something fierce. I went into it with a bad attitude though, which probably didn't help.
AND IT JUST WENT ON FOR FOREVER. Time, I might add, that could have been spent showing how the hell Parker and Hardison got away from the bomb they set off.
There were parts of Off the Map that were OK, like I thought the anaconda was neat, but I kind of wanted to bunch every single character in the face. They were all so freaking pissy. Like, DAMN. Why don't you start yelling at the drop of a hat, lady? Or be more dismissive of different cultures, guy. It was kind of ridiculous.
EXACTLY. Sure, the newbs are morons, but who is the bigger moron for hiring people that know NOTHING about medical treatment out in the field? I don't know why they were all so pissed when they just set everyone up for failure.
I saw a few minutes of the pilot actually, enough to get to the point where the frat boy didn't know what "gringo" meant. WHO DOESN'T KNOW THAT?

It is very pretty, being shot in Hawai'i and all.
