Feb 24, 2010 12:35

It was a REALLY close contest, and Buchou put up a good fight. But in the end, everyone's favorite coffee prince pulled out the win.

Congratulations Han Kyul, you are THE drama boyfriend!

I actually enjoyed Sawako's story more than Sunako's, even though Sunako is kickass. I got pretty far in reading Kimi ni Todoke but I never watched the anime, though. (Speaking of which, apparently there's a live action movie for Kimi ni Todoke coming out? :3)

All I know about Sunako is what I've read from random posts on my flist and the first episode of the drama... so I don't know much. The similarity in the general story just confused me for a moment, I had to doublecheck the Japanese name for The Wallflower.

I believe the anime is still airing actually, which is bizarre for me. I never watch new anime.

I wanna rewatch too, it was one of my first kdramas (that I finished, anyway) and I'm interested in seeing how it holds up now that I know all the tropes and quirks and cliches of Korea.

Oh, Smile, You. Hyun Soo is still my most favorite ever, but the show's stringing along needs to stop. These huge spikes of lighthearted cutesy family/coupley fun immediately followed by swift crushing sadness--it's exhausting, and it's every episode and I'm just tired, and I just want to see Hyun Soo being awesome and everybody else smiling and laughing and healthy and is this really too much to ask at this point? After FORTY+ episodes, really, is it too much to ask?

And I have been reading Kimi ni Todoke, but I didn't realize it's an anime--I think I'll have to check that out!

Hyun Soo is kind of fantastic and he's only made more fantastic by having Jung In as his significant other.

I am VERY concerned about how it is all going to play out. I really don't want to cry more than I already have.

Manga has always been difficult for me because I consistently skip ahead and confuse myself. I guess if I read more I'd get better at it.

I skip ahead in manga like there's no tomorrow and the bridge is burning behind me. I've convinced myself it's the only way to read it, especially shoujo.

Right?! They're so adorable and fit together so nicely, and like you said, it's been kind of remarkable to get to see them grow and come together from their very first meeting all the way through to marriage. I'm so anxious to see how it plays out for them, and I'm anxious for you to see more of the show! :D But I am practicing great restraint and will say nothing more!

I like Kimi ni Todoke, albeit the storytelling is hella slow for my tastes. And I still want to throw stuff at Sawako. Kazehaya... wow. only if men like him existed. :P

It's like she's never seen a drama or, you know, been outside. "Yes, Sawako, sometimes you feel differently about a boy than you do your girl friends." SERIOUSLY?
