I totally agree with you on the whole "why are they still taping?" question. After all, it makes sense when there's actually something happening monster-related. But when it's just them going to Odette's apartment (a sequence that had me rolling my eyes BIG TIME), why would you keep filming? That said, I really like the film with a couple of reservations (that silly final close-up of the monster in the park being one - oh, he's been marauding through the city, but he manages to just sneak up on them in the park?????)
Even if there are a few head-scratching moments, I'm definitely glad I saw it. Thanks to the military's ineffectual intervention, I'm halfway to completing this month's Kryptic Amy Mission!
I didn't care for this movie. I found the characters to be two-dimensional at best. I had a hard time following the story because I couldn't tell the actors apart, so I wasn't sure who was doing what, when, or why. I'd heard rumors of a sequal, but I've yet to see anything concrete.
Well, the first one made a shitload of money, so of course the studio would like to do a sequel. And I'm sure it will be easy enough to ignore should it come to pass.
