Time for another post on how I made something that I think is neat! This particular thing is a leather bag that I hand tooled, dyed, and hand sewed.

That? Is absolutely Lovely!

Beautiful design, and the explanation of each step was fascinating. I had no idea how complex leather-tooling was.

(And you know, the tartan totally works as the lining -- I'm trying to picture it with a TARDIS-blue lining, and I really can't.)

It seems complex... But it really is an interesting medium to work in. Kind of like bas relief sculpture, I think. I'm glad you enjoyed the explanation. I always like writing out what I did, because I love reading the in depth posts... And I'm *always* happy to hear that I'm not the only one, lol!

I know... I don't know *why* the tartan works so well, it just seems like it should be there. I blame Jamie, and the fact that Tennant is actually Scottish.

That was the other thing I forgot to mention! I'll have to go and edit the sewing one, but I did wind up using the lining that I bought... To line the inside of the pockets. So you can see it in one picture, where I've got all the pockets open to show what goes in them.

This image right here.
