Hello everybody, a friend just pointed this com out to me and I had to join.

For those of you in the UK who are unable to make your own cookie cutters for whatever reason. You apparently have a commercially available alternative according to boingboing.netMy friend and I hope that there's a cookie cutter included rather then being pre-cut dough ( Read more... )

the boingboing package is a dry cookie and frosting mix that comes with a shallow plastic Dalek-shaped cutter. (A friend in England got me a package-- I didn't make the cookie mix, though.)

Yay!

Your friend didn't happen to mention where they got it did they?

*starts emailing people she knows to bug them about sending her one*

I bought mine in Asda, but I think Sainsburys do it too. Have never seen it in Tesco.

The cookie mix itself was a bit rubbish - and it had rice krispies for the bumps. I made it, but they weren't very nice. I also made my own version using the cutter and my own dough, with chocolate chips for the bumps, and they were nicer.

Mini M&Ms would make good bumps too I think.

Hmm, it really shouldn't be all that difficult to make a dalek cookie cutter. All you realy need is a bit of copper strip and some means of soldering the thing shut. Oh, and some pliers to shape 'em.

I got distracted by the link to dalek cuff links. Niiice.

I have no faith in my copper strip bending skills.

Yes, you can always count on Boing Boing for Dalek related news.

You know, I was just thinking the other day that they deserve their own tag. Something for the next wave of maintenance. And things keep up like they are, I'm going to have to make a special tag for pumpkins, as well. You people are wierd. ;)
