Fourth Doctor Stockings
I used the Knitty Very Tall Socks Pattern with the stripes from The Fourth Doctor's Scarf (cutting the number of rows for each stripe in half) to make these Fourth Doctor Thigh Highs. I used Vanna's Choice yarn. I think I have enough left over to make a half-size scarf, too, if I buy another ball of the beige. The ends of the scarf are at the top of each stocking, and there's a band of yellow because I figured that'd be the color I'd have the most left over from. The pattern overlaps very slightly at the feet.
If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go down a needle size (EDIT: I used 4s, the pattern says 2s), because they're slightly too big, and maybe do the foot differently, because the Very Tall Socks seem to have kind of a wonky foot that's too big around the instep. They definitely require a garter belt just to keep them from falling right off, but they still have to be hiked up every five minutes.
