I have a crafting explosion about once a year... It happened last week and here is the photgraphic evidence.
I painted some snowmen for my friend, Ruth. She loved them, this is mid-way.
Finished Products! I really liked how they turned out!
Something I painted years ago, but it has always been one of my favorite pieces so I thought I would share that, too!
We decided to put the Christmas tree in the basement, yet I felt the need to decorate, something, ANYTHING! I created this little town out of odds and ends, vintage cake decorations, mini ornaments and lots and lots of fake snow. I made the little "blocks" with glass candle plates and set them up on white lights to highlight them. I was really happy with the results.
For my friends in my craft club, I always make an ornament. Usually, it is a cut our of polymer clay, but this year, I made something different...
SNOWMAN KITS!!
I made 12 of them (11 blue, 1 pink one, for my friend Karen, a 2 time Breast Cancer Survivor) all with 4 different kinds of glitter, fake snow, little sticks (I gathered them in the rain, that morning, in my gown and baked them dry in the oven) 2 black E beads for coal eyes, a teeny polymer clay carrot, 3 colored seed beads for buttons and a little piece of felt or flannel for the scarf. They were put in antibiotic vials that my friend saved from work. I painted the stoppers silver and glued them in. Added a label and called it a day. It's kinda like a snowglobe minus the water! Everyone was impressed.
Another group shot!
Christmas lights are a craft, RIIIIIIGHT?? Well, I think so and considering I spent 2 days over Thanksgiving weekend (with the Flu) putting those bad boys up, I think they deserve a little shout out!
The guy that lives behind us has his house lit up like Vegas... (mutters a curse!)
Last but not least, I make one Hell of a Mummy!
That is Noah, he insisted on being a MUMMY! He got lots of comments and he was sooo proud!
That is all.
