"Ne, Sanada-senpai, what was your first kiss like?" Echizen stared at his boyfriend contemplatively from over the brim of his teacup. He sat quietly, for once, in Sanada's room in Atobe's mansion, yukata baring the lithe muscles of his shoulder. Echizen and Sanada were having their weekly date. They'd begun with an invigorating game of tennis that had segued into shower sex, both of which events had sufficiently tired Echizen so that he could enjoy the peaceful stillness.
Sanada raised his eyebrow and pointedly remained silent.
Echizen sighed. "I'm not telling you to spill every single detail of your time with Yukimura-senpai, or anything..."
"You--ah--" Sanada coughed, snorting tea out of his nose in surprise. "Did he tell you?"
Echizen smirked and leaned over to wipe Sanada's face with a napkin. "I'm not a moron, Sanada-senpai."
"It's that obvious, is it."
"The four of us are aware that we're your rebound relationship."
The corners of Sanada's mouth lifted a little in a wry smile. "No, I'm honestly quite happy with you four. But...okay. I'll tell you. Come here." Sanada pulled Echizen closer, pulled him over until Echizen's face was nestled on his lap, cool gaze meeting his.
Sanada smiled and smoothed a stray lock of Echizen's hair away from his nose where the locks tended to congregate, and then leaned down to kiss Echizen's chest. Sanada let his lips linger where Echizen's yukata had parted to reveal the smooth indentation below the ribs and above the muscled stomach.
"No distractions!" Echizen said sternly. "Tell me."
"Damn, you've seen through my ruse. Okay -- I'll tell you. So -- I was second year. It was the night before sport's day, and the tennis club was practicing late for the exhibition match. We'd practiced hard -- I remember feeling the wetness of my sweat drip down into the back of my shorts, and wondered how horrible I smelled. I think we were both walking back to the locker room. Seiichi was walking in front of me, and suddenly stopped short to catch his breath. He seemed winded, which made sense given our game, but not given the short walk back to the locker room. I felt alarmed, and I raised my hands to grab him in case he fell over. And then he smiled at me -- you know the way he does -- and just stepped forward into my arms."
Sanada shut his eyes and smiled, and Echizen saw that he was lost in his memory. Echizen reached his hand up to Sanada's face and touched it lightly.
"It was almost like he was thanking me for my concern," Sanada continued, and swallowed. "I -- that was the first of many, many kisses."
"Have you counted them all?" Echizen asked dryly, poking Sanada in the nose.
Sanada swatted at Echizen's hand. "5,823."
Echizen's eyes widened. "No way! Oh -- wait. You liar, you made that up."
Sanada almost giggled, and Echizen pulled him down with a growl to bite at his nose. After a moment's struggle, Sanada allowed him to bite the tip, and then said, "So, what about you?"
"Se-cre-t..."
"I know every single place you're ticklish," Sanada said in his sternest Buchou voice.
"Ehhh, is that how we're going to play it. Well, you have to guess who it was with, first."
Sanada considered. "One of us?"
"No."
"Older than you? Or your age?"
"My age. But you'll never, ever guess."
" Have I played him?"
Echizen grinned. "You most certainly haven't played...her."
"...Eh!?"
Echizen shrugged. "I was curious. Buchou wasn't unbending enough to kiss me at that point, and Fuji-senpai seemed all caught up in family issues. And she was around all the time..."
"Wait, was it that loud-mouthed girl who used to cheer for you at games?"
"No, it was the quiet one. The one with long braids."
"Echizen," Sanada's voice was reproving. "You probably broke her heart."
"Maa, ne? But I told her right at first that it wasn't because I liked her or anything."
Sanada sighed. "You haven't changed much since you were the brat I played in the regional finals."
Echizen smirked. "But now I'm the brat you can play whenever you want to."
Sanada reached a hand down to linger on Echizen's chest muscle and drew a teasing circle around his nipple.
"And I want to play with you now," Sanada said. "But what happened to that girl?"
"She's married to Katsuo."
"Er, who?"
"One of the three freshmen who would watch our matches."
"Ah."
"So...answer the real question. What was your first kiss like...with another man?"
Echizen pouted slightly. "You saw through my ruse, too."
"I answered you!" Sanada said sternly, and slid his finger in a ticklish arc toward Echizen's armpit.
"Ack! Okay okay. It was...it was Momoshiro-senpai. We kissed each other after eating burgers one day. He smelled like a big french fry. I tricked him into it by saying I needed to help him get some ketchup off his lip."
"A romantic. I never would've guessed."
Echizen flicked him lightly under the chin. "At least I wasn't stalking my sick Buchou."
Sanada raised an eyebrow.
"Yet," Echizen hastily amended, and before Sanada could ask any more questions, he pulled Sanada down into a series of long, wet kisses.

Later, lying with his ear pillowed on the bunched hardness of Sanada's stomach, Echizen heard Sanada say something to him very softly.
"Hmmm?"
"... wasn't lying."
"Eh?"
"I counted every single one of my kisses. With Seiichi."
