Seriously, though, wonderful recap. I think you've done a very good job capturing the appeal of the show.

Oh, I'm so excited about NCIS becoming a Crack Van fandom! My little fandom, all grown up... *gets sentimental*
This is a great overview, and I so hope that it draws more fans, readers, writers and artists (we really do not have many fan artists, do we?) into NCIS. As you said, 10% of the fanfiction, and you count only the slash, it's even less. That's just not enough.
Can't wait to see your recs!

I adore the new director. She's classy and girly, but she also carries brass knuckles and will pull a gun if needed. She kicks a hell of a lot of ass.

Nope! I wasn't sure what to make of her at first, but she grew on me fast. But then, I have a thing for strong female characters. So. Not really a shock.
