As always, interesting reading. Timely, too. Do gifted programmes still run in schools? You may not know of course, since you home-educate. I have my suspicions that the DeVos era will not be one of great funding for public schooling. And as for feminism under a President with attitudes like the Orange One... But I am years ahead of your narrative there, sorry.

I wish I could visit your then self, and offer her a little consolation.

Thank you. I suppose gifted programs still run in better funded districts, but not here.

The Orange One....I used to have a running argument with my shrink. He wanted me to imagine my older self telling my younger self that things were not as bad as she had imagined. I asked him to point to objective evidence in the contemporary world to support that statement. He couldn't. The Orange One would not help my poor shrink's case any.
