Have you read any other Stross? He's rapidly become one of my favorite writers -- in fact, he's come close to edging the Holy Heinlein from my personal pantheon.

Oddly, Accelerando is my least-favorite of his works. I didn't dislike it, but if it had been my first Stross, I probably would have shrugged and moved on.

No, I haven't read any other Stross, or at least not yet. I was a slightly frustrated by the anti-climax that was the ending of Accelerando, but I see the potential for great fiction if he could, y'know, uh, plot better, hehe. In hindsight, the weakness of the plot is grating a bit, though I still largely liked the book.

But if you say his other stuff is better - or even if you're just saying you liked his other stuff more - I'll probably pick some up.
