China has lots of rock and metal :( I'm currently working on a post with just Chinese music of that variety.

For something A-lin like, Kary Ng has some good rock songs and I quite like her voice.

i think only a few songs but i do know he has a strong voice XD

i totally agree with you, i just hate all those groups/singers who have that cutesy voice (i don't think they can really sing

mhm, i've heard some now. (:

yes! i agree, but i don't exactly HATE them, because most of them are indie, so i guess it's supposed to be all mellow and stuff... xD but the thing i don't like about indie, is that they always have the girl singers with the cutesy voices, and that doesn't always make for the most powerful music xDD i sound mean.. but i have to admit it. :/ it's not that they can't sing, because most do write their own songs and music so yeah. (:
but that brings up some mainstream stuff.. like cyndi wang or someone else (haha, can't think of anyone now).. many mainstream girl singers don't write their own songs, which is kind of a disappointment, because fans would admire them SO MUCH MORE. you know? it's a pity.. ):

Jam Hsiao's (萧敬腾)Prince's New Clothes (王子的新衣)and Blues are good songs.

He has an amazing voice and does rock really well LIVE. Check out his version of Bon Jovi's It's My Life. :)

I hope that helps!

Zhang Li Yin! ♥ rikayla May 14 2009, 05:58:44 UTC
She's a Chinese artist under Korean company SM Entertainment, but sings in Chinese. :)

"Timeless" which is her strongest song, vocally, so far:

"I Will" which is her first Chinese single:

When you said strong voices I immediately thought of Faith Yang Nai Wen (楊乃文).
