I have a good friend named Kimmy
Who came into town and saw me
but to her dismay
when she read my LJ
She saw her visit had no entry
And so, now I write of our lunch
We talked and we laughed a whole bunch
we shared our photos
and talked of our beaus
And her gram gave us cookies to munch

Your poem is quite entertaining
And you're good at always sustaining
The pattern of rhyme
Through each clever line
With not one extra word remaining.
I'd love to have my old friends visit
But alas they do not, so what is it?
Have they just forgotten?
Or do I smell rotten?
Please tell me just what is requisite?

Your friends were all there
And most in evening wear
Not that long ago
in San Francisco
For your grand big affair!

And a smile was brought to my face
When I turned on my computer and received
Feelings of love and affection through cyberspace.
And know that you are often on my mind as well,
Cathy, my friend of a decade and a half.
Just thinking about your great Ponderosa fall
Will always guarentee me a laugh.
