Well, my car failed..inspection that is. Apparently the driver side brake caliper that was replaced in 2007 is now leaking brake fluid. Luckily, it's got a lifetime warranty on it so Advanced Auto Parts is replacing it for free. I just have to find time to install the damn thing. I'll probably do that Saturday

well about the lights, I would check the bulb. I did not know that had led's but even if it really does, beating the hell out of them, and putting them under water does actually limit their total life span. I would then check the relay, and see if that is bad. If that is good, then it is a wiring problem, and although cheap, could take hours to find.

Well, it turned out that something in the light was blown AND the main wire wasn't getting any power to it. We ripped half the blazer apart trying to find the problem but couldn't find where the power problem was. We ended up soldering a new wire onto the brake switch wire. I got a new light from a junkyard (Millerstown Pic 'n' Pull rocks!). I got it for $20. The dealer wanted $157 just for the light!
I now just have to run a wire from the switch wire to the light which I'm going to do tonight. :)
