As the little white box ingratiates itself further and further into my life and I find myself looking at Ibooks speculatively...

Itunes is excellent for getting the one song you want, as opposed to an album, so in terms of expanding my musical tastes further...

What (5?) songs do you love that I should definitely be listening to?

Have a look back through my journal for when I got my ipod - some good recommendations

However

They Might be Giants - Birdhouse in your soul
Metal Gear Solid 2 - Orchestral Theme
Ben Folds - Rocking the Suburbs (single song and album title)
Cake - Commissioning a symphony in C
Aphex Twin - Star Wars theme

For the second one evade the techno remixes and the direct game ligts with added solid snake sound effects. The orchestral score is a beautiful piece of music. I can get you all of these on a cd if you want.

Aphex twin - Loosely but not really. I'll burn you a cd if you mail me your address to kay_terra(at)yahoo.co.uk
