Nice to see you too! :) I've been bad here lately, I'm afraid. Every month or so I seem to pop up with a photo recap post, but that's not all that exciting. Life just goes on, I guess, so I don't find much of interest to report. But I love the ability LJ provides, to look back in future years and see what I was up to back then, you know? So I should really post more, even if it's boring. :)

I want to so bad! We only have an Xbox One, though. So many tears!

I think I saw a rumor that it might eventually hit the Xbox--shouldn't be too difficult since there's a PC port! The only (current-gen) console we have is the WiiU, everything else I play on PC. Anyway, hopefully by the time it hits XB they'll have worked out all the bugs and maybe made some tweaks and additions. :)

Heyo! I'm not playing it myself, but my husband asked me for the PS4 edition for his birthday. He has been playing it for a week or so now and is enjoying it, but I personally don't see a lot of appeal. He loves the vastness and the space exploration theme. I can see the appeal of that and it certainly is a beautiful game, but I think I would find it too lonely. It seems mostly focused on gathering materials and upgrading the ship and gear. I love me some good old-fashioned farming, but I think I need more of a plot or a social aspect to keep me coming back.

I've wasted way too much time reading about it and watching videos of it. I'm still very interested, but not at the full price, you know? The consensus just seems to be that it just isn't the game the developer promised--like when they delayed the launch earlier this year from June to August, they opted to use the extra time to neuter the game instead of tackling whatever issues they were having. So there's the huge universe, but not as much variety as might be expected. There's trading, and a few alien races, but only at a rudimentary and undeveloped level. So the gist of the game seems to be mining and crafting and (clunky and inconvenient) inventory management, with the planets mostly just different colors of the same stuff. I'm really hoping they'll keep developing it and release some patches that add a lot of what they initially promised, you know? Until then I think I'll have to wait for the price to drop a bit. :)

Yes, and I have some varied opinions on it ( ... )

Yeah, that sounds pretty comparable with the reviews I've spent too much time poring over. :) I know it's a game I'd get enjoyment out of, but I doubt it would be the full $60 worth, you know? At some point the lines on the graph between a) Hello Games fixing bugs and adding features, and b) the inevitable price drops, will cross and I'll jump on it. :)

Um...is that the running one? Wait, let me look it up...no it's not. Well then, I have no idea, but I am dying for the Fallout 4 theme park game to hurry up and release...any second now.

Yeah, it's the overhyped infinite-space-exploration one. :) To be fair, I think the hype caught even the developers (a small indie studio) off guard, and they were all like look, this is supposed to just be a chill little game, okay? But expectations were high and so far it seems like the game doesn't even quite live up to the developers' own intention. But I'm still interested, so we'll see.

And YES! Nuka World does look awesome. :) I'm so glad I jumped on the Season Pass before they jacked up the price. Though I haven't even checked out Far Harbor yet, I'm still taking my time doing sidequests in the main game. I should probably go ahead and get through the main story sometime. :)

Dude! I just got Far Harbor yesterday. Where else can you shoot an incendiary harpoon gun and a bowling ball shooter?

Game I was thinking about was, "Inside." Shit game.
