Yay for new (to you) cars! I want s "new" car, which would be a truck actually. I want to keep my trusty Honda for daily driving. Some day...

It is fun to get new wheels! Even though it's another chain around the neck financially. Not too bad, though.

For a while I wanted to get a truck too--we had the little Scion (which was too small for all of us) and a Ranger (extended cab, but still not particularly comfortable or safe), and I thought it made sense to get something like a 4-door Toyota Tacoma. But those are pricey! So I got my car instead. It is nice to have a truck, though, we miss it quite regularly.

Tacoma's are pricey! My dream truck is a 4-door diesel dually. Some of that is necessary (diesel/dually have more power for hauling in a mountainous region) the other part (4-door) is luxury. BUT! They cost at least $30k for a used one with over 100k miles. Soooo that's not happening anytime soon.

Congrats on the new wheels. I hear that Kias have very good warranties too.

Thanks! It wasn't exactly what I had in mind, and the timing could have been better. But it's an improvement and should tide us over for a few more years.

Kias do come with a 10-year/100k mile warranty, but I discovered that it's only transferable up to 6 years/60k miles--the 60-100k miles part only applies to the original purchase. Kind of a bummer. But we have enough of the 6/60k warranty left that hopefully any major problems will show themselves before it expires. :)

Congrats on the new car purchase!

I meant to add, I appreciate when the buying process isn't rushed. Otherwise I feel paranoid that I'll miss something, or agree to something that's not in my best interest.
