What a great pic! The flower too and thanks for the reminder, something to look forward to.
I once had to take care of hamsters and despite initially disliking them...they really grew on me and although the owner had ceased to give a fig, I also made sure they got a proper burial. It's one of the hard parts to face about having pets, but that too is a life lesson.
The anecdote about the cats put a smile on my face. Hope you snap some pics of them as well.
Definitely a life lesson, and on the whole I think she took it well. She cried a bit, and was melancholy for most of the day, and that's all good because she needed to grieve in her way. I just worried that she might blame herself when it was just one of those things. I hope that's not the case.
I really should take more photos of the cats! There's only one or two that I actually like (and who like me), though. The others are jerks. ;)
Yeah, this was basically a case of that, just one of those things that happens. I hope she doesn't blame herself, because she really was a great caretaker. She seemed to take it rough at first, but not for too long.
Definitely a life lesson in there. He will be missed, but I hope she dwells more on the fun she had with him, and the pride she had in caring for him well.
