Burn the Bridge So There's No Way Back.

I've been digging this song lately:

And I had Amy grooving to it and singing along with the chorus too. Of course, she asked why he was saying "burn the bridge so there's no way back," and it's kinda difficult to explain figures of speech to toddlers. Anyway, I think there's a rock fan in that little girl, I must encourage this ( Read more... )

Yay, free passport!

B is a groover as well. We were watching the newest Muppet movie and there's a song that Tina Fey sings when Kermit comes to the camp, and we were dancing around to that, then I took B back to his room to get him ready for bed, and he's trying to sing the song, and do the dance, too. I can imagine him being on stage :D (I mean, he's two, so I could be jumping the gun a bit!)

Heh, a blank T&C form. That's interesting!

I was a little concerned about the blank T&Cs--what am I agreeing to, exactly?! But I figured what the heck, it's no different than any other time I click OK without reading the fine print, because who actually does? :)

Yeah, Amy is by far our least shy child, so if anyone is going to be a performer, I imagine it will be her. Time will tell!

If you get a chance, give us an update after you've used iOS8 for a while. I'm pondering whether to hit the button on it now or wait a few weeks.

Will do. I was reluctant because I usually like to wait a few weeks (and/or for the first post-release update) to make sure the inevitable glitches are identified and corrected, plus I'd heard some people say that post-upgrade performance on iPhone 5 (mine is a 5c) was sluggish. I was also put off by the amount of free space (4.7GB) required for the install. But I did a little more research this morning and found people saying performance was fine and the OS seemed to be nice and stable, so I removed some big apps I never use to free up space, and pulled the trigger. Upgrade took maybe 30 minutes from download to install and reboot, and then a few minutes to go through the initial setup stuff (iCloud, Family Sharing, etc ( ... )
