Who knew: A John Sunset Strip story....

I was watching 20/20 last night and they did a two-hour segment on Sunset Strip for the movie that is coming out about the infamous boulevard.  In one part they showed the son of Lou Adler, record producer and owner of The Roxy Theater, discussing an incident that occurred involving John. I haven't watched the video yet, but that reminds me of a scene in Lennon the Musical (forgive me if this is what the video talks about) but John got so drunk one night he called Dicky Smothers an asshole then went into the women's restroom and put a kotex pad on his forehead lol! Oh john!

..lol. I heard about the kotex bit, but didn't know the whole story..Jesus, Johnny..lol. Years later he said that that story was overblown and that it wasn't a kotex, so I wonder..but no, this video mentions nothing about it so I don't know if it occurred on "the strip".

..but, sigh..sadly, the boy was never a "good" drunk. It's like all his inner pain and demons just came to the surface when he drank. :/ He was so remorseful after the fact once he realized what he'd done..but, it had to be hard, both for him and for the person on the receiving end to experience it. :(
