So I finished the Geisha piece and added color to it. After scanning it in. There they where. Every damn brush stroke and holiday in the colored parts.
Coloring with marker is exceedingly difficult to get all the lines moving in the right direction. You can use the "holidays" and overlaps to make interesting shading though. My suggestion in the future is to scan without color and add color via a painting program. Though I have expensive tastes as I know that those programs are not cheap (looking around for one myself right now).
I have a painting program and I am painstakingly trying to learn how to use it. I have never really been savvy when it comes to doing media on computer. It's my Kryptonite as an artist, I didn't jump on the train when it was rolling around not I am playing catch up.
