As a big fan of Genesis, I think you did a wonderful job of picking up on the final thread of that story and moving forward.

I really like John's issues re Elizabeth, esp since we've already 'seen' the (possible) future where he has more control and that she learned to accept him et al.

I love the banter. Totally nailed it with Teyla/Rodney/Cam/Shep... that was so great!

And sneezing-into-fire Cassie was a nice addition. I look forward to more. :)

*g* Thank you! I was actually quite worried I'd messed up the dynamic that irony_rocks had between John and Elizabeth. I just remember that his mutancy is based on the thing with the Iratus (sp?!) bug and that he had serious internal fighting going on, so I really wanted to incorporate that.

I love the banter. Totally nailed it with Teyla/Rodney/Cam/Shep... that was so great!

*g* thank you! Rodney's my favourite character, so I had to get him in there. Because he's my favourite, though, I always worry about screwing him up if I were to write him. It's good to know I didn't!

As for Cassie, she's one of my favourite supporting characters and I always like to get her in where I can. I had a whole idea with her and Jonas and Jack/Mini!Jack going on, but I thought it was to complicated when this story was about John.

Phew! I was really worried I might have messed up! I really love writing inner struggles and you just presented me with one on a silver platter! I was actually worried I might mess up the dynamic you established with John and Elizabeth in Genesis, but figured that, as that was in the future, it would work.

As for Cassie, I do love her. I really wanted to bring in Jack, with the idea of his mutant 'power' being that he sort of clones himself, but that the clone is younger (aka Mini!Jack) and is actually a separate person, but I wasn't really sure how to work it in. I was thinking of writing a sequel (again mainly from John's POV, or possibly Cam's) with Cassie and Jonas in it, though, hence why I introduced her here, but was intending to wait and see what you had in mind for any other characters.

Anyway, am very glad you liked it...and not just because you feel you have to! ;)

I really enjoy your characterization. Very John, very Rodney in particular. The scene with Beckett was perfect. Also adore Sheppard/Mitchell friendship and you did it well.

I can so imagine John being startled into his mutant form! hehe! And Cassie sneezing into fire! Classic! This was fun. Loved the banter.

Mutant Cassie was a must for me, as she's one of my favourite supporting characters. It took so much effort not to bring Jonas in at this point as well. Maybe in the future...

Still not sure when the next fic will be done. I'm still ironing out plot ideas. Thanks again for the review.
