Jamestown, Michigan. It's not much more than a four-way stop in the middle of farmland, but it's where I grew up.

The only person who can decide is the person in question, if they thought they would be happier with someone else they should go be with the other person.

It seems silly and somewhat self-destructive to end a relationship because you think the other person would be happier elsewhere.
