[If you happen to be walking around in the center of the village, you might catch Irvine walking around. However, he seems to have something different about his appearance. Oh! It must be the mistletoe hanging from the front of his hat.

Feel free to make fun of him or something, or totally get caught under it and punch him in the face.]

not trying too hard, most clever plan ever, this is totally clever, so clever

[Sanji is taking a look at his new surroundings, getting familiar with the town, and pauses when he takes notice of a cowboy hat complete with mistletoe]

Huh? What's that? [it looks ridiculous, but he could be wrong]

Hm? [Oh, hello. Turning to wave and greet, then point up to the amazing mistletoe.] This?

Yeah, why do you got a plant stuck to your hat?

It's a mistletoe. Two people who go under it have to kiss. Like if a girl walked under it, for example.

[Do you now see why Irvine is a genius, Sanji.]

[And Irvine is going to give her a confused look of his own. Is there something on his face?]

[Naw, just something on your hat.] ...What's with the plant hat?

When two people end up under one of these, [Pointing to the mistletoe.] they have to kiss.

[Eyes the mistletoe.]

I don't think it works that way, mister.

[Isn't it pretty?]

Sure it does.

[Not impressed at all.]

For that to work properly the female subject would have to be under your hat, which already places her in a kissing disposition thus rendering senseless the mistletoe. Also I believe the charm in that tradition is to put in in a place where people don't usually look to create a surprise upon kissing.

I've got this spelling thing down, for sure. cowboykinneas December 6 2009, 21:56:24 UTC
[But it's a pretty mistletoe. ;o;]

I think of it as more of an invitation this way.

[Irvine notices, and he'd make a move if he wasn't afraid of pissing someone off right now. So instead, just a wave from him.]

Hello there.

When two people stand under it, they've got to kiss. You can only imagine why I have one there.
