I took an Intro to Christianity class last fall. It was quite interesting. I have read the Old Testament and read it sometimes. It is interesting how you find areas in this book about fertility goddess and god. They are mention as Baal and Asherah(also known as El Shaddai-the one of the breast, which also is another version for "Shin" which is another name of the Hebrew god). I wrote down in my journal notebook in where the Old Testament speaks of the fertility gods.
How long you been taking Taekwondo? I jus started taking Kickboxing in Cary and very much enjoy it.
Sorry to hear about your situation with BlueStar. The economy doesnt help with long distance travel. I am glad its only 3 hrs and some change for me otherwise I would be hurting. I will send you an email about meeting up for coffee or lunch. My out town visitors have kept me occupied and my schedule clear.
Yeah, I think the rampant polytheism is my favorite part so far. Not only does God acknowledge the existence of other gods, but he actually talks at length about them, acknowledges that they have power, and picks fights with their priests periodically. I'm finishing up Numbers tonight. I've been surprised by how much I'm enjoying this little undertaking. Not only am I learning a lot, it's actually reaffirming my paganism. The Christians are right - more people should read the Bible!
I've been taking Taekwondo for about four years, off and on. I trained pretty heavily with the American Taekwondo Association, earned my first degree, and then moved to NC. When I got to NC, I trained with the ATA again, but decided to leave. I took a year off and joined Taekwondo America about ten months ago. I basically had to start all over, but it's been a blast and I love my new school. Kickboxing is a lot of fun! It's so much easier to exercise if you can find something you like.
