Speculations regarding the leak, Auggie, and women...
The youtube user hswill526 was apparently given access to the pilot script of Covert Affairs in film school and made a couple of the scenes from the pilot using their own actors. Now, the pilot has obviously been through a few revisions, but quite a bit of it was the same. I'm wondering about a particular scene "covert affairs_Liza in the bar" in which Conrad, Auggie, and Annie are sitting in a bar, and Liza Hearn (the reporter) walks in. In the scene, Auggie admits that he slept with Liza, but that it was before she'd started writing smear pieces about the CIA.
This scene was obviously cut from the pilot, but I have a feeling that the basic info of the scene may be included later on. In No Quarter, when the polygraph guy brings up Liza Hearn, you see Auggie kind of sit back in surprise, then hesitate a while, then answer that he's not the leak. I don't think Auggie's the leak - but I do think that he did sleep with Liza at some point, and I think that fact is going to come to light in a future episode and perhaps make the agency suspect him of being the leak.
I remember seeing press previous to No Quarter, and it talked about how Auggie was near the top of their suspect list... but in this episode it didn't feel that way. I think that he may shoot to the top of their list when they find out he was with Liza.
Another thing is that Chris has mentioned a couple times about how there is more than one woman in Auggie's life, and how it's going to get complicated for him. I think Liza may be coming back in episode 7, and she may be one of the two girls Auggie is having to deal with. (I doubt she's the ex he has to save, but maybe just someone from his past he's having to deal with?)
Anyway, thoughts??
