For those who don't know, I work for a liquor wholesale company--restaurants call us to place their orders, we deliver, blah blah blah.  Considering the area (SE Texas), we get a lot of A) Mexican restaurants, and B) restaurant owners/employees that speak little to no English, or who have C) extremely garbled accents

Lol, yeah that's what I have to do. According to everyone else, you get used to it after a time... but thus far, it's slow going.

Hm, no, unconscious doesn't help. Perhaps just help me figure out ways to embarrass him? Threat of social humiliation is ttly worse.
