OH MY GOD someone else who has horrifying teeth dreams. My most recent one was a dissolving one too, I had to keep the tooth-mush in my mouth so the dentist could try to re-glue them together. The one that was the worst though was my gums unraveling like a knit sweater and the OCD part of me kept pulling at the "string" even though my teeth were falling out and the pain was horrible.

I've also heard the theory that tooth dreams supposedly represent money...given how hard my finances are I might support that, but given how vivid and horrifying those dreams can be? Don't want to know what might go 'splody.

God, there is little worse than this, I think. For whatever reason these teeth dreams are just deeply terrifying, more so than medical problems actually bother me in real life (seriously, I would--and have--rather lance myself when needed than allow a doctor to come within five feet of me. I can handle the pain, the blood, and anything else you throw at me. I can't handle doctors touching me.) So far in dreams they have: broken, dissolved, had strange little patterns carved into them like worms were eating at the teeth, and just plain fallen out. I cannot imagine the knit-sweater thing, that sounds just...just... ugh. @.@

I hadn't heard the money one, though, but that should not make so much sense. Especially as this started directly after I was put back into a working-two-jobs-to-make-ends-meet situation. FFFFFFFfffff.

This is so, so very bad of me, but this has me rolling on the floor with laughter. Dear Troll, well done.

(on a serious note: not sleeping sucks. Have you tried this herbal stuff that's supposed to help with insomnia, what's it called, valerian?)

Lol, it's all good <3 Silver lining is that it's kind of funny.

(Melatonin I've tried, which knocks me out but I still have the nightmares so I wake up feeling like I was hit by a bus. XD I hadn't heard of Valerian but I'll look it up.)

I used to have the same problem about dreaming that all kind of shit was happening to my teeth. The reason I found out was that I was stressed and tense which led to me grinding my teeth in my sleep. If I was you I would check if your jaw feels really tense when you wake up because then that might be the problem.

In all I hope everything calms down for you and that you will get to sleep.

Oh, I catch myself grinding my teeth when I'm awake, and being mostly aware that I'm doing it. Stressed out is kind of a normal state of existence. XD That...that probably doesn't help, you're right. What did you do about it, if I may ask? (and thank you, btw <3)

I got a night mouth guard (damn that was a weird translation) from my dentist, or will be getting it since I went and did the mold just two days ago.

But if you suspect that you are grinding your teeth at night, don't wait like I did, go to the dentist. I was lazy and it wasn't until I looked in the mirror and realized that I had chipped a couple of teeth that I got moving. You know how people have kind of "fangs" as corner teeth on their upper jaw? Well I only have one now days because I worn down the other one in my sleep. So basically I kept dreaming that my teeth was getting destroyed because I was destroying my teeth.

If money holds you back I think you can find something at the drugstore that might fit.

I've also found that stretching my neck and shoulders before I go to bed helps a bit.

DUDE! DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to dream about my teeth ALL THE TIME! They would rot, fall out, or grumble into nothing. IT WAS AWFUL!

I was under the impression that dreaming about them is more like a manifestation of your anxiety and fear. Over your health, your words or even feeling powerless in regards to certain situations.

I always thought I dreamt about teeth because at my old job I would bite my tongue most of the time and 'grin and bear it'. I worried about every little thing about the horrible job AND what would happen if I quit.

But no more teeth dreams now.... just weird zombie/vampire dreams. LOL!!!

Um for the lack of sleep, my mom and I sometime use this herbal stuff called Rescue Remedy, which relaxes you. It's great for trying to fall asleep, or even if you're stressed during the day. There's one specifically for sleep, but the regular works well.http://www.

I am SO VERY GLAD that other people go through this. Guuuuh. @.@. Well, okay, not exactly because it means we've all been subject to this horror, but you get my drift, right?

Yah, Willow pointed that out, too, and that is making soooo much more sense. I mean, the health thing, sure, but this also BEGAN directly after I started working this second job that has me rather anxious all the time. Plus, the ever present money issues. Always a joy, those.

Thank you so, SO much for the link! That seems like it may be incredibly useful.
