Oh, this was just divine. So very Chuck, sitting there alone ruminating and catching his snooping daughter. I love their exchange, everything about it. I love that Ellie finally understands how much she needs her mother.
You've constructed such a Chinese puzzle box with this--every time I'm going to get an answer, there's another loop to jump through. Just wonderful.
Thank you. =] I admit I felt all warm and fuzzy inside for parts of this one. Only a few more hoops. I promise, and you'll be able to click all the hoops into place.
As much as I loves this chapter (and I do, I promise) I want to know whats in all these boxes!!! (I'm a very nosey girl)
When Elle finally recognized her mother in herself I had some tears in my eyes too. The part about Moon River and Tiffany's is a beautiful character study.
I feel like the tone of this chapter was more similar to how the story began, (moody, melancholic) whereas the last few chapters since Elle found Teddy (and subsequently Chuck) have been more of a romp. I'm not certain which I prefer since I love it all lol.
Wonderful chapter, I can't wait to put all the puzzle pieces into place :)
I have to know what's in those boxes!! It's making me crazy, but in the best way possible :)
Loved, loved this chapter I think it might be my favorite I love seeing Elle and Chuck interact. The ending had me tearing up just a little. 3 words, 8 letters. And I really finally had a father to say them to, who would say them back. This was the line that really got me.
Beautiful chapter I cannot wait to read the rest of this amazing story :)
Ahhh, this story is so amazing. Ellie and Chuck's interaction was so adorable. Also when Elle finally saw Blair within herself was amazing. I mean the girl clearly had Blair in her from the start and it became especially prominent with her snappy retorts and scheming.
I'm dying to know what's in the boxes and want to solve the mystery in this story. Its killing me, I have to know the answers!
I'm toiling away at it, je promets! It should be up either today or tomorrow, probably tomorrow, but hey...you never know. ;) Merci beaucoup for your comments. xoxo
Beautiful chapter. I loved the incorporation of the 3 words 8 letters. The fact taht Elle saw Blair with in herself was so touching. I mean I knew she was so like Blair (after all she's the Queen Bee of Constance!) btut it was great to see Elle realize it herself. You have such a knack for ending each chapter so perfectly and leaving me desperate for more.
