Summary Yoko and Maru decorate for Christmas. Fluff ensues.
“Idiot,” Yoko laughed. “That’s not how you do it!” Maru pouted at him, trying to get himself untangled from the string of Christmas lights he was trying to hang.
“I’d like to see you try,” Maru retorted. Yoko stood up from the sofa, and went to attempt to help his boyfriend get untangled.
“Sure,” Yoko responded lightly, unwrapping Maru’s foot. “I’ve always been good at putting up the lights.” Maru grinned and shook his head.
“Well I guess that’s a good thing, since I never have been good at it.”
“I can tell,” Yoko smirked. Maru pouted.
“That’s not nice,” he said in a mock sad voice.
“Oh well I’m sorry,” Yoko said, giving Maru a small kiss. “Does that make it better?” Maru just nodded, turning away with a laugh. Yoko finally got the last little bit untangled, rolling it into a nice loop.
“Thanks Yuu-chin,” Maru said with an embarrassed smile. “I’ll leave the lights to you next time.” Yoko began stringing the lights around the tree, doing it with much more ease than Maru had. Yoko had no idea how the other man had managed to get himself tangled in the Christmas lights to begin with.
“There,” Yoko said with a triumphant smile. Maru looked at him in awe.
“You’re good at that.”
“It’s not exactly a life skill you need.” Yoko laughed. “I always helped my dad with it, so I just know how.” Maru smiled softly, reaching over towards the table. Yoko shook his head with a grin when Maru picked up the reindeer antlers that he was wearing before.
“You look so cute in those,” Yoko told him.
“Really?” Maru grinned. “Thanks, but it’s not for me~”
“What do you mean?” Yoko asked. He got his answer when Maru leapt forward, placing the antlers on his head.
“Oi!” Yoko exclaimed, trying to straighten the headband, barely managing to stay upright.
“Yuu-chin, it looks cute on you too~” Yoko looked away, hiding the redness creeping up in his cheeks. In order to hide his embarrassment, Yoko bent down in order to plug in the lights for the tree. The room lit up in bright colours, making the tinsel sparkle.
“It looks so good!” Maru exclaimed happily. “Look at all the great decorations.” Yoko couldn’t help but smile at the childish grin on Maru’s face.
“I think the best decoration here is your smile,” Yoko said suddenly. His eyes widened at his own bluntness; why had he said that? Maru turned red, but his grin grew wider (if that was possible.) Yoko turned away again, coughing to hide his embarrassment.
“Uh I mean…” He wasn’t able to finish his thought as a sudden force almost knocked the wind out of him.
“You’re so sweet Yuu-chin,” Maru said, affectionately rubbing his nose into Yoko’s neck. Yoko sighed, turning around to hug Maru back.
“You know, I don’t know why I said that,” Yoko chuckled embarrassedly. “It was the heat of the moment I guess, and…” His words were cut off as Maru’s lips were planted on his own. It was no doubt to get Yoko to shut up. Maru pulled away, grin still present on his face.
“Will you stop that?” Yoko muttered, leaning in closer. “You’re making me want you.”
“That’s a good thing though,” Maru said happily, taking Yoko’s hand in his own, leading him towards the bedroom.
Best Christmas ever.
