“Why did princess let down her hair, neechan?”
“Yea, yea, why did princess let down her hair?”
“Because she wanted the prince to come up to her tower.”
“Ah? But that means she let stranger into her home!”
“Yea, yea, stranger into her home.”

A lot of Osakada Tomoka’s peers thought that she was impatient. Although, it was quite the opposite, she was actually patient and it was all thanks to her brothers.

She let out a sigh before fully explaining Yuki’s question.

“The princess wanted the prince to come up the tower because she was lonely.”
“Eh? She let man in!”
“Yea, yea, man in! Man in!”

Tomoka frowned at the exclamation Yuki sputtered out.

He had jumped up from his side of the bed and had his 3 year old fists clenched with his brown eyebrows inclined.
Of course, what Yuki did, Kyo did as well.
So she was now starring at 2 identical, confused boys.

She crossed both legs on the bed from their previous position on the floor and settled the big fat book on them.

“But he was a good prince, not a bad one.”
“Mommy say that we no let strangers into our house!”
“Yea, yea, mommy say no!”
“But Rapunzel knew that he was a good prince and she knew that she was a prince.”
“But-“
“Go to sleep now. It’s past 7.”

It was true that she had patience, but a very limited amount of it. Their questions had interrupted the story countless times and now it was past their bedtime.

She walked over to the shelf that was located across the room and placed the book back in. As she made her way over to the twins, she took care as to not to step on any of their toys that littered the place.

“Neechan! We no want to go sleep yet! What about story?”
“Yea, yea, no sleep! Story?”
“No more stories tonight. It’s time for bed otherwise you won’t get up in the morning.”

She picked Kyo up and placed him on his bed that was located beside Yuki’s. A side table with a lamp separated the two boys.

She tucked Kyo in and turned around to do the same to Yuki. She gave him a kiss on the forehead and gave him a hug.

“Goodnight Yuki.”
“Night neechan.”
“...Kyo?”

Tomoka turned around and saw that Kyo was pouting and had his little arms sticking out making a space for her to fill. How could she forget him?

“Okay Kyo. Goodnight.”
“Night night neechan.”
“Goodnight Kyo.”
“Goodnight Yuki.”

While the boys talked to each other, she gave Kyo a kiss as well and a tight hug to make up for her forgetfulness. The boy lay back on the bed and went to sleep right away. Tomoka looked around and confirmed that their nightlight was on before she turned off their lamp.

Tomoka walked over to the door and was about to close it when she heard Yuki’s voice.

“Neechan? Do you tuck in niichan like this too?”
“Eh? Niichan?”
“Yea, niichan.”

Tomoka realized who her brother was talking about then frowned.

“Why do you ask, Yuki?”
“He come yesterday and hug you right? Did he want to be tuck in too?”
“…what…?”
“When you come from outside through your room window, did you tuck him in?”
“…”

Tomoka was shocked; she didn’t think that anyone saw her come in through her bedroom window that night,. She could have sworn that she tucked in Yuki and Kyo before she snuck out.

“Ee…Yuki…what were you doing out of bed then?”
“Water.”
“Oh…I see…did you tell…oh I don’t know…mom or dad about this?”
“Um…no.”

Tomoka let out a sigh of relief.

“Promise me something?”
“?”
“Don’t tell anyone, ok?”
“um…ok.”
“It’s our secret.”
“OK! I like secrets!”
“Yuki? Aren’t you asleep yet?”
“He was just going to, mom!”

She looked back to Yuki and found that his head was bobbing up and down. He was trying not to go to sleep.

“Okay Yuki, go to sleep now.”
“…’k.”

Tomoka left the door open a crack and walked towards her room. She really had to be more careful next time.
