I think that's the least of our problems right now.

Are you dying? Have you been blinded? Lost a limb? This is a big fucking problem if it means she takes my daughter, your niece, and leaves the country.

I've been calling home regularly, to tell her what's going on, that I'm not dead, etc., and she's been understanding. Too understanding. Something is very wrong.

If we can't leave campus, do you think this could be a trick? This being in-communique? I would like to believe that she trusts me, but after more than a week away... It's doubtful.

Ah.

Has she called you at all? Or is it only you?

No one can leave, so this could be something similar...It's something I should have noticed before. Stupid...

Someone will see our absence, but by then it will be very late. Without communication, our colleagues will wonder. But ah, my trust in others...

It's not what it once was.

I don't know, Lev.

She won't divorce you.

It's only me. Which is partly what has me suspicious.

Yes. But you would've come to it yourself only a little while after your little brother.

When they notice we're gone, what can they do? Aside from blame us for it, of course.

You're right. She's so forgiving.

Perhaps she will leave Izumi with me...

Ah, does this... openness feel fucking wrong to you, too?
