Summary: Finn--and everyone else--finds out that Puck's the daddy. Rachel wants to get Puck's side of things. This does not exactly go well. Puck/Rachel.
Rating: T, for language, because you know in the real, non "parental advisory" world, Puck swears like a sailor.
Warnings: Contains some vague spoilers for 1x08, "Mash-up."

This show is like crack--I don't think I've ever written fic so soon after starting to watch a show. And after the pilot I was a Rachel/Finn girl, but then Mark Salling showed up with those eyes and that voice and that smile, and...goddamn, people. Goddamn.

I had to read this, because this is so exactly my experience in this fandom, I laughed.

I like that you let Rachel dump Puck when he was just faking it, but had her come back when he let himself be honest.

I like that your Puck was still pretty rough around the edges, even while showing promise of being someone deeper.

And I'm glad that you posted it, because it's let me know I'm not the only person who's writing fic against their best intentions for this show...

Hahaha, so I'm not the only one, that's good.

I'm glad you liked it so much! I'm not sure I'm writing against my best intentions, because now I'd really like to see Puck/Rachel on the show, in more than one episode.

Thanks for commenting!

I'm at war with myself. I started with Finn/Rachel, but the idea of these two, and him singing that song, making me ship them like crazy right now.

This was fantastic, I love how you had Finn realise, and Puck was brilliant.

I know! Finn/Rachel could be so good, but then I think of Puck/Rachel and I'm like, mmmmmmmm. And Quinn's managed to endear herself to me as well, so I don't want her feeling left out. Really, I just need some F/R/P/Q OT4 awesomeness.

I'm glad you enjoyed!

This was really good! I feel your sentiments exactly about Finn/Rachel, Puck/Rachel, up until I saw the promo for next week and the of course Puck serenading Rachel... *swoons* yeah...I can safely saw after that it was bye-bye to whatever Finn/Rachel-ness I had left in me.

So, yeah anyway. LOVED this! And, I could totally see this being extended on *cough, cough* ;)

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it so much.

Haha, I won't mind if the show sticks with Finn/Rachel, as I have a feeling they will, but if they decide to surprise me and go with Puck/Rachel, I will NOT be complaining. Not at all.

Oh dear, extended? That's one of my downfalls as a writer--I tend to think up ideas in one-shots. I have very few chaptered stories.

That was fantastic. I can totally see that happening just like that. As a matter of fact I hope it does happen like that in some way. Puck, I love. From the moment I saw the hound dog I was amused and when he immediately (without thinking wanted to take responsibility for the baby he won my heart. The connection between the two in this story is just so palpable. I loved that Rachel was going to try and make Finn forgive Puck, because she knew how much Puck needed Finn's friendship. That is totally sweet.
