Steel blues eyes peered into hers, as leather clad arms encircled her waist. Rose looked up to see the Doctor grinning wildly at her. She quickly returned it and fell against him. His calloused hands softly fondled her blonde hair and held onto her shoulders as they withdrew from their hug.
“Rose Tyler, you are fantastic!” He beamed.
“You’re not so bad yourself,” Rose told him, her breath hitched slightly as she still caught her breath from running for their lives…again.
“So, what about now?” Rose asked, lacing her fingers through the Doctor’s, already knowing his reply.
“Rose Tyler,” His eyes shined with an affection hidden below a steely exterior. “Run!”
Rose’s impossibly wide smiled stretched a mile farther and set off after her Doctor.

The Doctor was sleeping soundly in the TARDIS in favor of another night in a house with Jackie Tyler (this regeneration seemed to have forgotten much of the adversity that had tainted their relationship, but the Doctor was still slightly timid). His dreams drifted back into Rose.
He had been made from her love. The first things that these eyes had ever seen where not the stars in the skies, but instead the stars that shined in her eyes. He was sure that before the fear and anger that had filled her eyes when he had regenerated, that there was a glimmer of wonder, amazement and his Rose.
A smile passed his lips as he moved further into his dreams.
‘His Rose?’
Who was he kidding?
‘Her Doctor.’
Knock, Knock, Knock
His sleep drenched mind was pulled back into reality as a subtle knock outside his door ran into his ears. A smile stretched on his lips
already knowing it was Rose.
The door creaked opened and she walked in. Her smile brightening the dim light of his room.
“I thought you might want some tea and biscuits,” Rose told him, as she set the plate down on his bedside table.
“Brilliant!” the Doctor replied, sitting up and turning on the lamp.
The Doctor hungrily shoved the chocolate covered pastries in his mouth and downed his tea in a few quick gulps.
“So…” Rose started, but stopped and hung her head a bit unsurely.
“So?” the Doctor prompted.
“What about now?”
A golden glimmer caught the Doctor’s eyes.
“What do you think?” the Doctor asked with a toothy grin. “Barcelona.”

The Doctor watched as Rose’s image faded from the corner of the TARDIS. The words he had wanted to say fell from his tongue and crashed like the ocean waves he had heard in the background as he said his last goodbye.
Instead new words swam out.
“What about now?”
