Why is it that all we talk about in WORLD Geography is the Middle East and all we talk about in WORLD Literature and WORLD Mythology is the Greeks?

That is why I took a course in Kabuki Theatre. School's definition of "World" seems terribly narrow, and I wanted a different perspective on things.
