Having mountains around is really odd. I'm used to my landscape being very suburban and flat, possibly incorporating a lake. Mountains have never really been part of the equation. It's very peculiar now to be living partway up one and to be able to see two more from my window. They're not even very large mountains, just little-ish rounded ones, but
